A unique city hall micro wedding

Planning your Christmas themed City Hall Ceremony in San Francisco? Look no further, I have all the details you need to know!

San Francisco City Hall is most known for its notorious charm and European architecture.

Booking City Hall in San Francisco can be a bit tricky. When inquiring about a specific date it is important to attempt to get their opening time slot or their closing time slot… this makes for such a smoother experience. After all City Hall is open to the public. After you inquire for your date you have the option to put a deposit down but it is important to note someone can buy you out of your desired time by paying in full. In other words skip the hassle and pay in full!

Lily and Lucas started their day with a first look and private vows in one of the quieter corners of City Hall before walking down the aisle in front of their family members. Can we talk about how GORGEOUS Lily’s dress is? My goodness.

We then went straight into couples portraits. These two came with a mood board but if I do say so myself we were beyond the Pinterest vibes. Having inspirations for your day is great but it is very important to remind yourself that you and your wedding day will be so different than someone else’s. I mean that in the most positive way. My favorite thing about capturing weddings is the differences in my couples and the families I meet. This truly means everything.

On to the Ceremony.

There are three different places to host your ceremony:

  1. with the judge - it’s about 10-15 min long and they only allow 6 guests to attend including vendors

  2. the mayors balcony - you can have up to 100 guests but please note they only allow 40 guests to sit

  3. the fourth floor - pretty similar to the mayors balcony but is way more secluded and intimate!

Lily and Lucas went ahead and booked the fourth floor which in my opinion is the best for lighting, space and intimacy! But I do encourage you to go with what works best for you and your partner, always.

IT’S TIME TO PARTY!

The way Lily and Lucas planned their wedding day was a dream. After having their beautiful City Hall Ceremony they went ahead and rented out the Tsunami Panhandle in San Francisco to host their reception. When I tell you this place was a dream. The moody essence of the restaurant and color scheme went perfect with their Christmas Themed Wedding plans. But first the couple snuck off to have a bite of pizza before joining guests for cocktail hour. What a dream their day was, omg.

I hope this helps plan your dream winter wedding!
