I will always remember my grandpa on my mom’s side constantly reminding us of his stories during WWII while being in the navy. He would always tell me about the film cameras he had and how he had to level it out evenly, set a timer just to take a photo of himself. My grandma and my grandpa met at a military base in Japan and the rest is history. My grandma has always had a coffee or tea in one hand and a camera in another. Capturing memories was extremely important to them. So of course- me being the eldest sister, a cancer and obsessed with their stories growing up- I picked up my grandpas camera and learned everything there was to know. He took classes and would come home and tell me all about it.

Once I turned twenty one, it hit me. I can do what I love and people might actually appreciate it. So I bought my first camera kit. I used it for my first two years in business. I have upgraded my gear since. A lot has changed.

Now that you can see where I got my curiosity from add my grandma watching lifetime romantic comedy’s on top of that. I want nothing less than my brides and grooms to feel like they’re in their own movie based on them. How fun is it to be the main character? To feel loved? To be supported by your photographer, in a room full of everyone you love?

That is my why.
